Reports and white label branding
What a report contains, how to schedule it, and what white label actually changes.
What is in a report
Six pages and three appendices, in a fixed order. Headline numbers with their change stated in words, the keywords you flagged as working on, the top ranking keywords, share of voice against the competitor set, the audit health score and its change, and an editable box for what you did and what is next. The appendices carry the full keyword table, the full findings list and the raw Search Console figures.
SolSEO
Monthly report1 to 31 August
solseo.com.au
white label seo reports: the page changed on 4 September and a featured snippet appeared. keyword rank checker: an AI Overview appeared and cites two other domains. rank tracker australia: nothing in our data explains this one, and the top 20 is otherwise unchanged.
Making one
From the site's Reports page: pick the period, write the two paragraphs in the editable box, and render. The PDF is produced by printing the same HTML the dashboard shows, so there is no second report builder to keep in step.
Scheduling one
Set a day of the month per site. The report renders and sends itself, and a copy stays on the reports page.
Sharing one
Every report can be shared as a link on Growth and up. A revoked or unknown link answers 404 rather than a refusal, so a forwarded link says nothing about whether it ever existed. Every share link counts its opens and the count is on the report row, on every plan that has share links. Agency adds client logins, which are read-only logins that each see one site.
White label
Growth and up. Set a logo and two colours in Settings, White label. Every SolSEO mark is removed from the document and from the PDF's own metadata fields.
Two things to know. A colour that fails contrast against white is refused when you save it, with the reason given, rather than accepted and rendered as pale text on a pale card. And the branding is fixed when a report is created rather than when it is rendered, so a report made on Growth stays white label after a downgrade to Starter.
What to write in the editable box
This is the part no tool can write for you, and it is the part the client reads.
Two paragraphs. What you did, in plain words, naming the pages. "Rewrote the eight thinnest product descriptions and fixed the category pages that had none" is a sentence somebody can hold on to. What is next, with one thing in it rather than five.
Avoid the word "significant". Avoid a percentage without the numbers underneath it: "clicks fell 18%" is an alarm, and "clicks fell 18%, from 1,240 to 1,017" is a fact somebody can think about.
If a month was quiet, say it was quiet. A report that claims progress every single month teaches the reader that the report is not evidence.
Scheduling and alerts are different jobs
A report is a monthly summary for somebody else to read. An alert is an interruption for you, the day something happens.
Do not use one as the other. A client report arriving weekly because you wanted faster alerting is a report nobody reads, and an alert threshold set so wide that it only fires monthly is a rule that is switched off.
