Four categories: technical basics, content quality, Core Web Vitals and the checks that only matter to a shop. Every finding carries what it is, why it matters and how to fix it, with the evidence shown rather than summarised.
It reads the rendered product schema rather than the plugin settings, because the settings are what somebody meant and the schema is what shipped. A price in the schema that disagrees with the page is a Merchant Center problem before it is an SEO one.
Rank tracking beside the audit
An audit says what is wrong with a page. Rank tracking says whether fixing it did anything, because the crawl records a content hash for every page and the report can say the page changed between two checks.

How the tracking software checks a position
Rank tracking software you can trust validates every result before a position is written: the organic count has to match the depth asked for, a domain expected for that country has to be present, and the top 20 must not have churned past a set share. A result that fails is quarantined, retried through the next provider, and never stored.
Why the top 20
Google removed the num=100 parameter on 11 September 2025. A hundred results now cost ten page loads. Depth 20 is pages one and two, where a decision gets made, and depth 100 is a flat add-on for a site that needs it.
Country per site
One country per site, set per site rather than per account, so one login can hold an Australian shop, a New Zealand one and a client in London. We are Australian owned and run, and the product is not: the currency is ours and the market is not. Google only, phone and computer. No Bing yet, no local pack positions yet. What an AI Overview did for a keyword is recorded, and whether your site was cited in it. Google's own SEO starter guide is still the best free thing to read alongside any of this.

How often does SolSEO check my Google rankings?
Once a day on every paid plan, and once a week on Free. Each keyword has a fixed minute of the day worked out from its id, so the checks are spread across the whole 24 hours and today is compared with yesterday at the same moment.
Why does SolSEO track the top 20 and not the top 100?
Google removed the num=100 parameter on 11 September 2025, so reading 100 results now costs ten page loads per keyword instead of one. Depth 20 covers pages one and two, which is where the decisions are. Top 100 is a flat add-on per site.
Do I need the WordPress plugin to track a site?
No. Sites are added in the dashboard by pasting the address, and tracking starts on the next scheduler pass. The plugin is a free companion that adds editor scoring and puts your tracked positions inside wp-admin once the site is paired.
Which search engines does SolSEO track?
Google only in this release, on phone and computer, in one country per site. Bing arrives later through the same provider layer. We would rather say that plainly than list an engine we do not check yet.
