Settings, Billing, Cancel. One click. It takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for and there is no confirmation email to find.
You keep everything you have paid for until that date. Cancelling on day 2 of a month does not switch the account off on day 2.
Nothing is deleted
Nothing is deleted when you cancel or downgrade.
Every position ever recorded stays. That is the same promise the paid plans are sold on and it does not have an exception for people who stop paying. If you come back in eight months, the chart still starts where it started.
Your audits, findings and their history stay. Including which crawl first saw a finding and which crawl resolved it.
Your sites, keywords and settings stay. Configured, in place, ready.
What changes
The account drops to the Free plan's limits, and the difference is enforced by pausing rather than deleting.
Keywords over the new cap are paused and listed, so you choose which ten stay active rather than having the first ten kept and the rest thrown away. A paused keyword keeps its whole history and starts checking again the moment it is unpaused or the plan is raised.
Checks drop to weekly. Crawls on demand stop, and the scheduled crawl continues at the Free plan's page budget. White label branding, share links and client logins stop, and reports carry SolSEO's branding again. Agent API keys stop working, because they are a paid-plan feature.
Downgrading rather than cancelling
The same mechanics, one step earlier. Going from Agency to Starter pauses the keywords over 125 and lists them, and the extra sites become read-only rather than disappearing.
If the reason to cancel is that you are paying for daily checks on a list that does not need them, that is worth a conversation before you go: weekly across a large list costs us a fraction of what daily costs, and the price can reflect that.
Refunds
A cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, so there is nothing to refund in the usual case. If you have been charged for something you did not intend, email support@solseo.com.au and say what happened.
Deleting the account entirely
Cancelling is not deleting, on purpose. If you want the data gone rather than dormant, email support@solseo.com.au and ask. That is a deliberate manual step, because an account deletion that can happen by misclick is a data loss waiting to happen, and this one cannot be undone.
Coming back
Re-subscribe from the same screen. Limits lift immediately, paused keywords are listed for you to unpause, and checks return to daily on the next scheduler pass.
What happens to a paired WordPress plugin
It keeps working, at the level the account is on.
The free plugin does everything it always did: page analysis, meta and social tags, sitemaps, redirects, WooCommerce product schema. Those are worked out on your own site and need nothing from us, so they are not affected by a plan at all.
What stops is the part that is your account's own figures: tracked positions in the editor and the site health list in wp-admin. Those come back when the plan does, and the pairing does not have to be redone.
Invoices
Every invoice stays available in Settings, Billing, including after you cancel. They are Stripe invoices, tax-inclusive and in Australian dollars, and each one names the plan and the period it covered.
If you need an invoice reissued to a different billing name or ABN, email support@solseo.com.au before the next renewal rather than after it.
Cancelling one site rather than the account
There is no per-site subscription, so the way to stop paying for a site is to archive it and drop to a plan whose site count matches what is left. An archived site keeps its history and stops being checked and crawled.
