The shop pack

Every product checked against what a shopping result needs

Twelve readiness checks on every product, a rule for each address your filters make, and a list of what to fix ordered by what the products behind it sold.

For WooCommerce shops. It submits nothing to Google and it changes no product.

The readiness box on the product editor, and the same result as a column on the products list.
What it does

It works out what is wrong, and what fixing it is worth

Twelve checks run on every product: the image at eight hundred pixels on its shortest side, the title between twenty and one hundred and fifty characters, a description of at least one hundred and sixty, a barcode whose check digit is right, and the rest of what a shopping result reads.

The result is a box on the product editor, a column on the products list and a filter above it, so you can ask for the products that are not ready yet instead of opening four hundred of them.

Findings are ordered by what the products behind them sold in the last three hundred and sixty five days, so the row at the top is the one that costs you money rather than the one with the most pages behind it.

What you need
  • WooCommerce, and the free SolSEO plugin
  • SolSEO Pro, which holds the licence key this pack reads
  • A Pro Shop, Pro Complete or Pro Agency key
  • A paired SolSEO account, only for the counts beside each filter
The list

What the shop pack does

Twelve readiness checks on every product

Worked out on your own server, against what a shopping result asks for. Nothing is submitted to Google and nothing is written to the product.

A column and a filter on the products list

The readiness result beside every product, and a "not ready yet" filter over the first five hundred products so you can work through them in one sitting.

Condition, delivery and returns on every offer

Set once and published onto the offers your site already writes, which is three of the twelve checks answered by filling in one screen.

A rule for each address your filters make

Every filter your shop uses, listed, with four answers each: leave it alone, keep it out of results, keep it out and do not follow it, or do not read it at all. It remembers up to one hundred parameter names and stores names only, never what was in them.

Category copy from one table

Title, description and two blocks of copy for every product category, fifty to a page, with placeholders so one line can fill a hundred categories.

Page two of a category points at itself

Rather than at page one, which is how half a shop ends up with no page of its own. A filter combination worth keeping can be promoted into a real page, up to fifty of them.

One answer for a product that sells out

Keep the page, keep it and leave it out of results, send it to the category, or keep it and show alternatives. Keeping it is the default, every answer is undone when the stock returns, and no product page is ever deleted.

A product file served from your own address

Up to five thousand products, rebuilt on the same daily run as everything else. On a shop that already has a feed plugin it builds nothing and names the plugin that owns it, because two plugins writing one file is how a shop submits yesterday's prices.

Rating markup that will not get you in trouble

Rating markup that breaks Google's own rules is removed, never invented and never adjusted. A review request can be sent through WooCommerce's own email, one per order, and it starts switched off.

Price

On three of the five licence tiers

Shop and Local are the same price and neither contains the other. If you want both, Pro Complete carries both, the content pack and five sites for less than buying the two.

The pack is a separate plugin rather than a switch inside another one, so the key decides whether you may download it and nothing inside a plugin has to hold a ladder.

Australian dollars with GST already in the number. Nothing here renews monthly.

Common questions about SolSEO Shop

Does SolSEO Shop send anything to Google?

No. The readiness checks are worked out on your own server and talk to nobody. The product file it builds is served from an address on your own site for you to hand to Google yourself.

What happens on a shop that already has a feed plugin?

It does not build one. The screen names the plugin that owns your feed and offers no button, because two plugins writing one product file is how a shop ends up submitting yesterday's prices.

Will it change my product pages when something sells out?

Only if you choose an answer. The default is to keep the page exactly as it is. The other three answers are yours to pick, and every one of them is reversed when the stock comes back.

Four hundred products, and a list that starts with the one that sells

Install the free plugin and SolSEO Pro, add a key that carries the shop pack, and the readiness box is on your next product.
