A free WooCommerce SEO plugin that writes the schema properly
Install it, write a post, and it tells you what to change before you publish. The SolSEO WooCommerce SEO plugin is free, needs no account and no licence key, and puts no advert in your wp-admin. Meta and social tags, sitemaps, redirects, page scoring and variation aware product schema, which is the part most WordPress SEO plugins get wrong on a shop.
Free forever, and nothing in it expires.

Everything the WooCommerce SEO plugin does without an account
A score on every post and product
Twenty-eight checks on a post and thirty-four on a product, across keyword, basics, readability and the fields a shopping result needs. It updates as you type and it is a sortable column on the posts and products lists, so the worst page is one click away.
Titles and descriptions that fit
Write them per page, or set a template per post type and let it fill itself in. The gauge measures the title in pixels rather than characters, because that is what decides whether Google cuts it off.
Sitemaps, including your product images
Posts, pages, products, categories and tags, split into pages, with the images on each one listed and product galleries included. Readable in a browser and added to robots.txt.
Schema a shop can actually use
Organisation, site, breadcrumbs, articles and products, with one offer per variation inside an aggregate offer. Brand, SKU, stock state and the shipping and returns fields a listing is marked down for leaving out.
Redirects and a log of dead links
301, 302, 307 and 410, exact addresses or patterns. Every address that found nothing is logged with the page that linked to it, and one click turns a logged miss into a redirect.
The rest of the afternoon jobs
Breadcrumbs, SEO fields on categories and tags, bulk alt text for images that have none, robots.txt rules, and an importer that copies your meta across from Yoast or Rank Math without touching what it finds.
Three things the free plugin will have you fix today
None of this needs an SEO to interpret. The plugin names the page, says what is wrong in a sentence, and the fix is a field.
Titles that are being cut off
The gauge shows a title at 612 pixels against the 580 a result gives you, so you can see the cut before it happens. A title in capitals runs out of room sooner than a longer one in lower case, which a character count never tells you.
Set that once for products and every product has a title, without you writing one. Override it on the pages that deserve their own.
Products with nothing to read
The score marks a product with no short description, no SKU, one photograph or no category. Each of those is two minutes, and each of them is a field a shopping result reads.
Links that go nowhere
The 404 log shows the address and the page that linked to it, which is usually your own menu or an old campaign. One click turns it into a redirect, and the visitor who was about to leave lands on the right page.
The SEO plugin writes one offer per variation
A variable product is the thing that breaks a general purpose WordPress SEO plugin. A product sold in five sizes is one post with five prices, and a plugin that publishes the default variation's price publishes a rich result that is wrong for four buyers out of five. This plugin writes the price range and an offer per variation, with each variation's own stock state, SKU and condition.
The product schema fields a shop is marked down for
It also writes the fields a shop actually gets marked down for leaving out: brand, GTIN where one exists, shipping details, and the return policy. Google's product structured data reference is the document these follow, and the output is meant to validate without a warning rather than merely without an error.

What the free WooCommerce SEO plugin covers, and what Pro adds
Nothing is held back from the free plugin to make the add-on worth buying. The line below is where the free plugin stops, not where it was cut.
| SolSEO, free | SolSEO Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Page score, updating as you type | Yes | Yes |
| Titles, descriptions and social tags | Yes | Yes |
| XML sitemaps and product galleries | Yes | Yes |
| Variation aware product schema | Yes | Yes |
| Redirects and the 404 log | Yes | Yes |
| Importer from another SEO plugin | Yes | Yes |
| Phrases scored on a page | The focus keyword | Every phrase, up to eight |
| Advice written for the phrase you are reading | Focus keyword only | Every phrase |
| Google positions in the post editor | No | Yes, with a paid plan |
| Price | Free forever | From A$149 a year, half that on a paid plan |
SolSEO Pro is a separate add-on you install beside this plugin, not an upgrade that replaces it.
If you never buy it, nothing changes and nothing stops. The free plugin is not a trial, it does not count down, and no screen in it will start asking. Plenty of shops will never need more than one phrase scored per page, and this is a complete SEO plugin for them.
One add-on, and five packs that plug into it
Each one is a separate plugin with its own page, installed beside the free SEO plugin rather than replacing it. The licence key decides which of them you may install, and no plugin contains a ladder: a pack is a zip your key either covers or does not.

The licences page is where the five tiers are compared. The Australian pack is not a tier: it attaches to any of them, and to an account that holds none.
None of the six changes what the free plugin already does. Your titles, your sitemaps, your redirects and your product schema keep being written by the plugin you have, and a pack you stop paying for stops installing rather than taking anything away from the site.
If you are not sure which one you need, start with the free WooCommerce SEO plugin. It scores every page, writes your product schema and keeps your redirects working, and nothing in it counts down while you decide.
Moving from Yoast or Rank Math takes one screen
The importer reads both through their own meta keys and shows you a dry run of what it would write before it writes a single row. It copies rather than moves, so the plugin you came from keeps its data and switching back is deactivating this one. There is no point in the process where your meta exists in only one place.
Adverts, nags and trials
This WooCommerce SEO plugin shows no adverts in wp-admin, sends no nag emails, and starts no trial that expires mid project. There is one page about the paid add-on, in the plugin's own menu, and you have to click it. If you never create a SolSEO account, nothing in the plugin will ask you to.
Connections we open to your site
If you do pair it, you mint a one time code in the dashboard and paste it in. The plugin polls SolSEO and SolSEO never opens a connection to your WordPress, so a site behind a firewall or a staging password works like a public one.
Checks on a post, and thirty-four on a WooCommerce product.
Adverts, nag emails and trials that expire in the middle of a project.
Connections SolSEO ever opens to your WordPress. The plugin polls us.
The minimum PHP version, so it installs on older hosting rather than refusing.
A WooCommerce SEO plugin that is a companion, not a requirement
Rank tracking works on any site that answers over HTTP, WordPress or not, and a site is added by pasting its address into the dashboard. The plugin is not needed for any of it.
What pairing the plugin adds is the two halves seeing each other: your sites and their health scores in a widget on your WordPress dashboard, and the page scores from your site in the hub beside the positions. It is also what SolSEO Pro reads to put your Google positions in the editor.
Pairing the WooCommerce SEO plugin, and what it is not
Pairing is a direction rather than a limitation. Because the plugin polls and SolSEO never calls in, there is no inbound credential on our side that could be used against your site if we were breached, and a revoked pairing simply stops answering.

Common questions about the WooCommerce SEO plugin
Is the SolSEO WordPress plugin free?
Yes, and it needs no account and no licence key. It handles meta and social tags, XML sitemaps, redirects, image alt tools, page scoring and schema on its own. There are no admin adverts, no nag emails and no forced trial. The paid add-on is a separate plugin you install beside it if you want it.
Does it write WooCommerce product schema for variable products?
Yes. Product schema is variation aware, so a product sold in five sizes publishes the price range and the per variation offers rather than one price that only matches the default variation.
Can I move across from Yoast or Rank Math without losing my meta?
The importer reads both through their own meta keys and shows you a dry run of what it would write before it writes anything. It copies rather than moves, so the old plugin keeps its data and you can switch back.
What does pairing the plugin to a SolSEO plan add?
Your sites and their health scores in a widget on the WordPress dashboard, and your page scores in the hub beside the positions. It is also what SolSEO Pro reads to put your Google positions in the post editor. You paste a one time code minted in the dashboard.
Does SolSEO connect to my WordPress site?
Never. The plugin polls SolSEO and SolSEO never opens a connection to your site, so a site behind a firewall, a staging password or a maintenance plugin works exactly the same as a public one.
Install the WooCommerce SEO plugin, pair it later or never
The plugin works alone and the hub works without it. If you want the tracking first, start on the free plan; if you want the plugin first, install it and decide about an account later.
- The documentation covers installing and pairing step by step.
- The site audit is what the dashboard adds on top of the plugin.
- The pricing page lists the plans that include Pro.
