Introducing SolSEO

SolSEO is a rank tracker and site audit tool. It checks your Google positions once a day to the top 20, keeps every check for ever on every plan including Free, stores the whole top 20 so competitor positions are there without a second subscription, and audits the site for the things that cost a WooCommerce shop sales.

Why we built it

We run twelve sites of our own and we were paying for a rank tracker that gated competitor data, charged per seat, deleted history on downgrade, and answered "why did this move" with an arrow. The first customer for SolSEO is us, which is a constraint rather than a marketing line: the uncomfortable bugs get found by the person who checks it every morning.

The five things we decided not to gate

  1. One click cancel. From inside the app, effective at period end, with no confirmation email and no retention offer.
  2. No seat fees. Agency and up carry unlimited users at one price.
  3. No credits. Add-ons are flat monthly packs on the same invoice.
  4. Unlimited history. Every position is kept for ever, on every plan, including after a downgrade.
  5. Competitor positions included. The whole top 20 is stored per check.

What it deliberately does not do

Google only in this release, on mobile and desktop, one country per site. No Bing yet. No local pack positions yet. No proprietary authority score, ever: agencies strip those out of client decks and a number nobody outside the vendor can reproduce is not evidence. No AI content writer, because the research says an AI badge on a writing feature reads as a trust problem rather than as a feature.

Where to start

The free plan is one site, ten keywords checked weekly, a 250 page crawl, no card and no expiry. It is not a trial and it does not turn into one.

What we run it on

Twelve of our own sites, including four WooCommerce shops that sell physical products with variations, stock that runs out, and filter navigation. That is the reason the WooCommerce half of this product exists: those problems were ours before they were a feature.

It is also why the uncomfortable findings get fixed. In September 2026 we pointed the crawler at solseo.com.au itself and it scored 52 out of 100 with fifteen open problems. Reading which addresses those problems pointed at found that most of them were not problems: markup rules running against JSON files, a decorative logo with correct empty alt text reported on 37 pages, sign-in pages marked down for having no search description on pages that ask Google not to be listed.

Every one of those was also landing on customers' audits. They are fixed, in the crawler, in the hub and in all seven plugins, from one shared definition of how a page is graded, with a test in each codebase that fails if its numbers drift from that definition.

Where we are going

Bing and local pack positions are the two most asked for and are not in this release. Neither is a backlink index, and that one is not a roadmap item: we would rather do two things properly than six approximately.
